South Scottsdale home remodel- whole house remodel

Butler "casita" home remodel

The Butler family “casita” home remodel in Scottsdale was a stunning transformation of a town home that had been in the family for many years.

The Butlers wanted to modernize the look, feel and function of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. Together we assembled a team that turned the outdated, claustrophobic interior into a stylish home they could enjoy for years to come.

We re-imagined the space to create a modern dwelling with the amenities homeowners have come to expect. Many changes were contemplated and eventually implemented in this complete interior renovation.

The modern farmhouse style of this renovation incorporates hex shaped tiles, wood accents, and custom cabinetry in an open space with 9′ ceilings.

The scope of work for this Scottsdale home remodeling project included:

  • design development & preconstruction services
  • removal of walls to create an open floor plan
  • expanded, redesigned & modernized kitchen layout
  • redesigned master bathroom layout
  • a private water closet
  • walk-in master closet & storage area
  • guest bathroom tub to shower conversion
  • a closet converted into a dry bar area
  • upgraded electrical, lighting, ventilation & fans
  • window & patio door replacement
  • shaker panel interior door replacement
  • interior trim & finish work
  • faux beams and shelving
  • custom cabinets and vanities
  • quartz countertops
  • 8″ x 48″ plank tile flooring throughout living spaces
  • hex shaped floor tile in bathrooms
  • herringbone and subway pattern shower tile
  • interior painting

The transitional, farmhouse modern interior design is bright, tasteful and bold thanks to the creativity of Brittany Augustiniak of Designated Homes. Architect Trevor Pan created a beautiful master bath layout including a spacious and unique corner shower.
